At the top of 2020, I had veggie garden aspirations, but when the pandemic hit I had the urge to put as much in the ground as fast as I could. It turned out to be one the of most enlightening adventures I had ever had!

Gardening became more than a way to save money at the grocery store for an unemployed gig worker, it was also a crucial part of my mental health. In a time when days blurred together and grooming habits became optional, tending to my garden gave me a sense of purpose and routine. My plant babies needed me and they gave back to me what I put into them. I watered by had almost daily, and during that time I let my mind roam free. If you have a problem sitting still enough to meditate, try watering over 40 plants with only the sounds of birds to distract your mind from sorting itself out.

Reap HOW you sew

The lesson I will apply to everything in life is that the QUALITY of effort you put into something will determine the outcome.

Sure, If I plant a cucumber seed and cucumber plant will grow, but the taste of the harvest depends on how I place, water, feed, clean, prune, etc. Care and attention to details make all the diference
